My tenure at Tyco included responsibility for developing a “Shared Services” operation to leverage a single IT infrastructure, and consolidating multiple data centers around the world into three regional processing centers. I was directly responsilbe for the management of global relationships between Shared Operations and Tyco constituent businesses ensuring “operational readiness,” daily program management of various aspects of the Global Data Centers build projects, the creation of new business cases to support the addition of new technologies and services, and control of a $17 million annual P&L and $38.5 million capital budget. More notable accomplishments include the creation of a financial charge back model for business customers of Tyco data centers, building custom automated tools to capture customer utilization and assist customers in estimating their costs before actual charges are incurred, and the development and administration of a procurement policy.
