Miguel González (Oviedo, 1997) is a Madrid-based architect, curator and researcher, exploring the intersection between the built environment, fiction and criticism, as a means to an accessible and socially committed architectural communication.He studied at ETSAM Madrid (UPM) and the Universidad Católica de Chile. Currently working in IDOM in a wide breadth of environmental projects, he has previously worked as an architect and curator with S&Aa, and in the Architecture department of the Royal Academy of Arts in London, where he assisted in the delivery of the exhibition “Light Lines: The Architectural Photographs of Hélène Binet” (2021).At the moment, he is co-curator of the upcoming exhibition and open research platform “Arqueologías del Presente”. The project will feature the work of five architecture offices and a videographer on fictional retellings of monuments, by means of radical material proposals aiming to provide hopeful alternatives against the backdrop of the looming climate emergency. “Arqueologías…” will be on display in May 2024 in Sala de Arte Joven in Madrid, and a continuation of the project will be featured in Sala Amadis in late 2024.
