I have been part of KPMG R&D and Innovation Incentives Department since 2019, in the Porto office.In the course of my professional career, I have worked as a consultant in areas related with R&D, Innovation, Strategy and Sustainability, as well as I have identified and materialised cash flow and incentive opportunities for companies, associations and other research and technology organisations.In particular, I have been developing projects in the following areas:- Portugal 2020 – Support applications under the Portugal 2020 program of European Union Funds;- PRR – Support applications under the PRR (Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência) program of European Union Funds;- Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020 and FP7 – Development of international projects mainly concern the European Commission’s Framework Programme for Research and Development;- SIFIDE – Support applications under SIFIDE (Sistema de Incentivos Fiscais em Investigação e Desenvolvimento Empresarial) program, a Portuguese government support through R&D tax incentives;- NP 4457 standard – Implementation of a R&D+I management system in private companies (Portuguese standard). I have been a member of the Technical Committee for Standardization CT 169 ("Research, Development and Innovation Activities"), responsible for R&D and Innovation management systems (ISO 56001/ ISO 56002, including the update of the Portuguese standard NP 4457:2007 to NP4457:2021);- Innovation Plans – Development of private sector companies Innovation Plans, including idea generation, establishment of networks, project structuring, identification of needs and financing opportunities;- Strategic Plans – Development of Strategic Plans for private companies, public institutions, business associations and clusters, including the development of sectoral studies and the support for the implementation of collective actions in the areas of R&D, Innovation and Internationalization;- Sustainability Reports – Development of Sustainability Reports for private companies and public organisations;- Internationalisation – Development of business opportunities studies between Portugal and other countries that includes an overall survey of the needs of companies;- Training – Optimization of methods and processes of modernisation and innovation in the companies’ management, through capacity building of Human Resources.
