🎓 Master's degree student with a keen interest in physics, specializing in Image Reconstruction, Radiation Physics, and Machine Learning. My studies at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) have sharpened my problem-solving skills, teamwork abilities, and an enduring passion for learning.🧪 My journey in Radiation Physics began with engaging lectures and practical experience IST’s Radiation and Atomic laboratories. This deepened my understanding in the field. I also developed a fascination for Machine Learning through a project in my master's coursework, aligning with the field's growing significance. Additionally, specialized courses introduced me to imaging techniques like MRI and PET, enhancing my skills in image reconstruction software.💻 Currently, I'm working on my Master's thesis at ICNAS (Coimbra) and LIP (Lisbon), contributing to the "HirezBrainPET Project". This involves developing a testing protocol for a novel PET technique using resistive plate chambers (RPC) and experimenting with various reconstruction algorithms and software like CASToR/STIR.
