Building The Alzheimer's Healthcare Platform at Foxtrot Health, helping patients slow cognitive decline.I'm also a dad, leader, speaker, author, developer, and open source contributor. I started a few companies and worked with small and medium-sized startups, consulting firms, and enterprise companies on various projects. I'm passionate about what can be done with the combination of technology, creativity, and a good team. Not work-related, I'm a rock climber, mountain biker, adventurer, outdoors lover, and always up to try something different, whether it's a new dish, hang-gliding, or an exciting new business idea or technology.

Principal ConsultantReadify Aug 2008 - Jun 2012Docklands, Victoria, AuSoftware Developer, Mentor, Trainer and Consultant in .NET and related technologies. I go into details only about a few of the projects I worked on.ALS GLOBAL: led the development of a new Laboratory Information Management System. As the technical team lead, I helped the product owner, clients, developers, testers and operations to collaborate with each other to do the real work.Curtin Univerisity: I worked with a new team at the university that had the freedom to explore with new technologies and methodologies. Teams in Curtin had traditionally worked with Cold Fusion and Prince2. We used a new technology stack some practices from XP, Lean and the Scrum Framework. During the 4 months that I was there, we released 5 products, gained confidence from the business in this new approach and more funding to add a second team. -
Technical SpecialistReadify Oct 2009 - May 2012Docklands, Victoria, AuA Technical Specialist is a distinction that Readify gives to those that have a strong and deep understanding, have proven technical excellence and are are recognised internally and externally as thought leaders. As a Technical Specialist, I worked with clients to help them better understand and use (or when not to use) Silverlight and related technologies like WPF, WindowsPhone, Blend and XAML. I also helped colleagues develop their skills and provide guidance in regards to their Professional Development. -
Senior DeveloperReadify 2008 - 2009Docklands, Victoria, Au -
OwnerIntegradores Tecnológicos 2003 - 2008At the beginning, I played a role of project manager, programmer and business analyst as well as doing administrative tasks. In 2006 with more projects on hand, I decided it was time to hire a manager, forget the administration of the business and focus on development and architecture of new ideas. Later on, I worked on a new area of the company focused on product development.I was also part of the Software Engineering Process Group when we decided to implement a formal model called MoProSoft, similar to CMMI. During the first definition phase, I helped to tailor part of the process in Visual Studio Team System. I was a project manager in two pilot implementations, the first one using the formal approach and the second one using agile methodologies to contrast both and redefine the process. This gave me a good insight on how not to work and why compliance comes second to delivery as long as the client doesn't care about a 'certificate'.
