Miguel's main responsibilities have been technical development and supervision, customer relationship management and team and project management.He's been engaged in:- Driving change in the control environment of the credit risk function of a multinational financial institution by acting as project manager.- Design of a technical architecture for the international reporting activities of a financial institution, replacing the core business systems of its international subsidiaries. The following requirements were addressed: operation reporting, head office reporting, management reporting at subsidiary level, reporting to regulatory authorities such as FSA and the Bank of Portugal.- Analysis of a core banking system of an international subsidiary and mapping of its business concepts to an international Data Warehouse.

Developed his work as a BI Consultant in the Financial Services Industry:- Definition, design and implementation in SAS Data Integration Studio of the Risk Data Mart that supports the credit risk calculation and capital reporting of a financial institution. - Support, local implementation and testing of the Basel 2 compliant risk models: Mortgage, Corporate and SMEs (for the PD, LGD and EAD risk factors).- Design and implementation of a technical architecture in Z/OS for accommodating the credit risk models to score the portfolio of a financial institution, according to the compliance requirements of Basel 2 Advanced Approach.
