Transformed the Epocrates BI/DW team to a data engineering focused team. Further integration into cloud based warehousing solution (Snowflake), eventually replacing Hadoop.Governance and continued development of the Epocrates mobile tracking platform, used to support our analytics and product teams help gain insight into our users.

athenaClinicals is athenaHealth's flagship EHR product, helping over 30,000 physicians today manage their clinical encounters and helping them focus on being better doctors to the 30mm+ patients they serve. Highlights:- Cross browser migration - Transformed 10+ years of Internet Explorer only code to work across all major browsers.- Clinical Interfaces - Designed and developed Athena's e-prescribing and lab result interfaces (HL7 and proprietary) and all workflows involved in managing these documents- Faxing - Development of one of the largest fax infrastructures in the country, which now handles over half a million faxes per day for our providers.- Other key features developed: order management, clinical document management, automation/OCR of document processing, drug interactions, order sets, encounter templates, document search

athenaCollector is athenaHealth's practice management product Like all Athena products, the focus is to help doctors be better doctors, and not worry about a lot of the administrative headaches that comes with running a medical practice. Highlights:- Claims Submission - Built the process and pipeline utilized by athenaCollector to submit claims to all payers. This infrastructure now handles all insurance claims transmissions for over 80,000 providers- Offshore team management - Led three local and offshore teams building out the bulk of the athenaCollector product. All initiatives that were able to be taken on by distinct offshore scrum teams were managed by these groups- Key features developed: Scheduling, patient statements, identity and access management, billing and workflows, various EDI workflows (claim acknowledgement, claim status inquiries, referrals)

You name it - I've done it. Provided all internet access for all seven city governments in Hampton Roads. The company was eventually sold to Landmark Communications.
