• Scope of Authority: Managed + $450 M USD Purchasing Spend, 2K+ Vendors Across Portfolio of Over 50K Unique SKUs• People Leadership: +10 Team Members of Buyers & Purchasing Agents/ Coordinators• Creates and monitors daily the Purchasing KPI's (PO Creation, PO Placement, Past Due and Invoice Discrepancies) to identify potential disruptions in the Supply Chain• Identifies and implement improvements to achieve Purchasing goals• Works daily on identifying Purchasing critical shortages and corrective actions to guarantee the continuity in the supply chain• Works closely with CRL vendors on relationship management to monitor shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, or prices and report any critical changes to the internal stakeholders in a timely manner.• Analyzes the Purchasing spend portfolio and executes the Sourcing strategy• Assess and mitigate vendors risk management• Visits the vendors when needed to understand their commodities, capabilities, manufacturing processes, etc. and to establish partnerships• Leads the vendor development Service Level programs in coordination with the sourcing team• Responsible for Supplier Performance Evaluation• Maintains appropriate inventory levels to reach out Service Level• Trains and develops the buying team.• Monitors and improves the buying team performance by having recurrent One-One's• Support operational transactions for all New Product Introduction initiatives• Act as a liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any Purchasing related challenges.• Understands & communicates market dynamics and needs• Demonstrates continuous efforts to improve operations• Performs other duties and/or Supply Chain responsibilities as assigned• Covered as Sourcing Lead during transition period about 25% of the time

• Forecast Sales and Inventory levels on a weekly basis using ladder plans, work with big box retail channels(inline & online) counterparts on collaborative forecasts, including seasonally & strategic ad planning.• Manage demand plan & weekly allocation with internal supply planning & business planning teams to drive forecast error improvements.• Manage major retail channels tools for item set up, pull detailed reports to analyze the business and drive in-stock level improvements, fill rates, recommend solutions to solve issues, financial data pulls, etc.,• Analyze sales and inventory performance to identify trends and proactively correct systems disconnects, before out-of-stock instances occur.• Follow-up with sales, supply planning & business planning teams to communicate any issues/risk regarding product availability (move up shipments, write more orders or shift production to different SKU's).• Lead 30-60-90 day meetings with channels Replenishment Managers to ensure all key metrics are achieved along with planning for future programs and events.• Represent replenishment in category team meetings.• Primary focus on driving sales and profits through innovative replenishment approaches, industry knowledge and technical expertise to ensure store level inventories are in line with company & channel objectives.• Key point of contact with Channels for all store and DC replenishment issues, strategies and initiatives.• Aggressively manage unproductive inventory, identify trends and develop recommendations to correct issues.• Create and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers that interface with replenishment.• Provide input to retail programs on SKU selection, shipping patterns, display design, and planogram placement.

• Work collaboratively with sales team to project sales and identify promotional opportunities.• Manages the flow of purchase orders of high volume merchandise(over 3K containers yearly) to be distributed to large retailers.• Maintains communication with overseas’ suppliers to verify accuracy on purchase orders, cost negotiations, production, shipping, etc.• Initiates replenishment orders based on analysis of sales and future events.• Makes recommendations for future promotions based on statistical results.• Prepare quarterly hindsight reports to analyze historic data to identify trends and customer opportunities• Makes recommendations on item expansion or discontinuation based on sales.• Manages weekly, monthly and seasonal detailed sales reports.• Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendation for process improvements.

Manage Supplier information:• Supplier data management - request, review and archive required supplier information• Update and maintain supplier trackers• RFQ data collection and loading• KPI analysis of WW dashboards• Request, compile and maintain supplier scorecard data including environmental, social responsibility, innovation, service and quality requirements, and cost competitiveness.• Coordinate and prepare supplier meetingsFinancial Pre-analysis:• Download purchasing variance reports, screen and analyze errors.• Follow-up and resolution with all concerned entities, both vendor and factories.• Preparation variance explanations of top winners and top losers list monthlyMaintain purchasing data in Information Systems:• Creation and Maintenance of cost standards, and other SAP data• Request and validate price information from suppliers• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with internal stakeholders and suppliers• Maintain and upload documents into Purchasing Tools• Develop or contribute to the development of tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of these processes• First point of contact to resolve delivery, payment, SAP input and costing issues:Problem solve and provide solutions to stakeholders

• Acquire, consolidate, audit, and facilitate payment approval for all of Tesla’s APAC(Asia Pacific) transport accounts and some US accounts (25+ accounts) • Audit 3PLs warehousing costs for US and APAC based warehouses• Manage inbound damaged/ lost claims with transportation carriers and 3PLs• Plan and execute monthly accruals and closing with accounting teams in US and APAC• Support the timely audit and payment of logistics invoices.• Support the Finance group with logistics information for the monthly and quarterly close processes.• Support Tesla Motors Global Logistics team in developing optimal logistics Transportation and Warehouse Management Systems (TMS/WMS).• Utilize enterprise cost mindset to continuously improve cost and quality for the global material, service, and product distribution network.• Develop and maintain key metrics and executive dashboard on freight invoice payment, logistics cost performance, and cost improvement roadmap actions.• Deliver in-depth analysis of logistics network to data-mine opportunities for cost improvement actions.• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.• Identify & execute opportunities to increase bandwidth through automation and streamlining of business processes.• Assure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.• Maintain organized project records and documentation in compliance with local records retention policies.• Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.

• Maintain inventory integrity in the system(SAP) to match with all vendors(VMI) & 3PLs • Work with Allocations, Sales, Inbound & Outbound Teams to ensure inventory levels are accurately reported to our customers. • Conduct Physical inventory audits • Issue Vendor stock transport orders & coordinate physical transfers with carriers & warehouses • Supply inventory buffers to our service centers • Work with OS&D Claims Team (Overage, Shortage & Damage) along with 3PLs to ensure all returning freight is properly received & processed in our system. • Clean up faulty outbound transactions in the system. • Work with Outbound Team & 3PLs to ensure all EDI transactions are received & closed in a timely manner. • Confirm to Accounting once all transactions for month end have been closed so accounting can close the books for the month. • Review forecasting to ensure inventory levels are available to meet demand • Review customer's routing guides & build pallet configurations based on customer requirements • Issue title transfers, create purchase orders, inventory conversion, and coordinate special shipper projects, product rework projects & BOM creations.
