Miguel has over 25 years of experience in Management, B2B / B2C Sales, Operations and Team leadership in the highly competitive Utilities Business, mainly in Telco and IT/IS Market.He holds a degree in Electric and Computer Engineering from the School of Engineering, University of Porto, complemented by a full time MBA in General Management from the Porto Business School.Miguel currently works in PROEF and MMCI as a Board Member. He is responsible for the Telco Business Unit providing services and sales for customers such as NOS, ONI, Vodafone, Cellnex, Vantage, Ericsson, Huawei, Motorola, Siresp, ANA and others.From design+project on fixed and mobile solutions, license and build both FTTx / Mobile networks from scratch, Field Services, Logistics, 365*24*7 network maintenance to assembling full turn key projects both in Portugal and abroad, the team of over 300 direct People and 700 indirect full-time contractors work consistently to deliver top quality services.The longest professional experience of his career was in a Sonae Group Company (www.sonae.pt) where he entered in 1999 by invitation into the newcomer Sonae Redes de Dados, which became Novis (2000) and Optimus (in 2008). In 2013 Optimus merged with Zon, changing the brand to “NOS” – the current second major player in the Portuguese Telco Market.In those years he led several teams / projects consistently delivering over the budget. Between 2005 and 2014 he Managed Sales in a Director level the Corporate and Public Administration markets, gaining a significant network and experience in deal closing at several levels of an organization (CEO, CIO, CFO, General Managers, IT, Purchasing or HR Directors), as well as in leading a senior team into selling and delivering complex solutions to their customers.During his professional career he has invested on continuous training in the areas of Team management and Leadership, Sales and Negotiation in international and national schools as IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, Porto Business School (PBS-UP), Nova Forum (School of Economics - University of Lisbon) or the Catholic Portuguese School.He started his career in 1997 as a Customer Manager in Portugal Telecom.
