Who knew building different inventions from the family's kitchen "junk drawer" as a 7 year-old would lead me into a life and career path of technology.My start began on the break-fix side of the PC world, though nothing was broken I would disassembly my mother's brand new Hewlett Packard (Corvette of its time, I think) to its core daily and complete the assembly before she made it home from work. Over the years, I would eventually become the person all of our family and friends would call for their technology troubleshooting needs. (I don't think that's changed much today) I finally became a career IT Technician within my mid-twenties taking contracts and third-party work orders for major corporations, retails, and food-chains such as Verizon, AT&T, CSX Transportation, Dollar General, Taco Bell, just to name a few. These tasked ranged from POS system installations, Printer Maintenance, Networking, to Complete PC Rollouts.A few years ago I found my true interest but at a huge disadvantage to myself. My home network would undergo a ransomware attack which left me data less but very intrigued. How was I so vulnerable? When did this happen? Who was responsible? What could I have done to prevent this? How do I configurate the systems going forward?These are all questions I once had during my attacks and now aspire to help companies answer through my profession as a Vulnerability Analyst.
