Miguel Sanches holds a PhD in Design from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon. Since 1999, he has held different positions in the printing industry sector, namely in the areas of budgeting, production management, training and sales. In 2009, he began to teach in the degree of Design and Technology of Graphic Arts at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT), where he is responsible for the units of Prepress, Artwork, Offset Printing and Color Management & Digital Print. He regularly coordinates the ARTEC - Symposium on Design and Graphic Arts and he is editor of i.E. Magazine. Since 2012, he has been part of the organising committee of the CIDAG - International Conference on Design and Graphic Arts, held every two years in partnership between IPT and ISEC Lisboa. He is a member of CIAUD - Center for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design. From 2017 to 2019, he was coordinator of the Degree in Design and Technology of Graphic Arts at IPT. He participates regularly as a speaker at technical and scientific events in the areas of design and print production.
