I mentored junior engineers and interns for timely completion of project.

Performed Project planning, equipment calibration, and lab safety maintenance (Photolithography, atomic layer deposition, sputtering, e-beam evaporation). Engaged in Product design, quality control, data collection, analysis and providing recommendation to superiors, hiring and mentoring other employees and interns. Responsible for presenting data to funding agencies and other shareholders.

I conducted research on novel ways to measure neurochemicals in various disease conditions (e.g. epilepsy) from the funding of: NSF OIA/EPSCoR Grant 1632891: Probing and Understanding the Brain: Micro and Macro Dynamics of Seizure and Memory Networks. Major research activities include: development of implantable sensors for measuring neurochemicals in commercial and custom made in-house probes; optimization of parameters for maximum sensor performance and improving package to enable real-time recording in tissue slices and awake-freely-moving rats.

I mentored Gelena Jones (Alabama State University) for her summer REU (Summer’2019). Itrained her in enzyme coating procedure, data acquision and analysis of chronoamperometrydata from FAST mkIII systems. She presented her posted titled, “GABA Probe Optimizationfor High Sensitivity and Selectivity” at NeuroNEM 2019 at Louisiana Tech campus.

• I taught a basic chemistry lab (CHEM-103/104) course of 20 freshman students. I helped students with the basic concepts and theory required to perform the experiments. I graded the in-class assignments, and assessed home works and exams with helpful comments. • I assisted students with basic concepts and theory for NSE 201/202 laboratories. These basic nano-systems labs include activities like silver nano-particle synthesis, nickel nano-rod synthesis, basic photolithography, electrophoretic carbon nano tube deposition for Dopamine detection, UV-vis measurements for quantum dots and imaging in optical microscopes/SEM. I also designed an experiment with layer-by-layer pH-dependent electrochromatic films using mini-potentiostat PSAT-910.• I prepared and characterized metallography sample with SEM for MEMT-215 lecture. I also helped introduce simple corrosion lab with readily available kit for MEMT-215 lab demonstration.• I was the lab assistant and grader for Engineering materials (MEMT-215), Mechanical engineering (Pump-lab:MEEN-451) and Electrical engineering ( Introduction to digital design:ELEN-333 )

I conducted research on sensor development for reactive oxygen species and anti-oxidants from the funding of: -LEQSF (2015-2018) LaSPACE, Grant: PO-0000028678. Major research activities in this project include: development of microarray electrodes in planer silicon substrate utilizing common micro-fabrication techniques like e-beam evaporation, PECVD; surface modification with carbon nanotubes and/or polymers to enable simultaneous detection of anti-oxidants (e.g. ascorbic acid and uric acid) and enabling long-term monitoring of anti-oxidants in presence of reactive oxygen species (hydrogen peroxide).

During this period I mentored Lacie Duplesis, Daniel Allman and Sansker Dhungana for theirsenior project on “Platinum based microelectrodes for reactive oxygen species and anti-oxidantsmonitoring”. With extensive training sessions for Autolab and Gamry electrochemical tools. Ihelped them design experiment for their deliverables and data analysis for their finalpresentation at the end of the year.

As part of my industrial attachment as part of black-belt project titled, “LEA Glassware Blower – Finish Mold Paste Process”, me and my group applied DMAIC tools and instituted changes in Libbey Glass Shreveport that resulted in savings of $855,000/year.The team collected the mold paste thickness data, mold change routine, quality attribute check at hot and cold end for analyzing the current trend. A new gage with convenient shape of the probe along with newly developed measurement template for item #841 was introduced which could measure the paste thickness with gage R%R value of 27%. Pilot test results shows 90% of the molds had the paste thickness within the specified range and the mold ring reduced from 10% to 2%. The sigma score improved from 2.75 to 3.50 which is a significant improvement to measure the reduction in variability of the process. Finally, the team provided some documentation on how to prepare the template for the other types of molds.

I was responsibe for the design of transformers, labor management and maintaining steady supply of raw materials from supply-chain department. Completed projects include design and manufacture of 10/12.5 KVA transformer for Rural Electrification Board (REB), 16/20 KVA transformers for Nepal Power Board, 50/75 KVA transformer for Power Grid Company Bangladesh (PGCB)
