Responsible for key deliverables for various decarbonization projects for the food processing, biofuels, and desalinations sectors. Produced initial performance models, completed portions of the initial engineering design of the facility, served as the field engineer during the construction phase of the project, and conducted component and system quality assurance checks for a 2.3 MW solar thermal plant for an almond processor in Madera, CA.Created a TRNSYS model for Sunvapor’s thermal energy storage solution to allow modeling of a solar thermal system incorporating the thermal energy storage. Developed initial system designs with thermal energy storage for several industrial customers involving layout drawings, performance modeling, and cost estimation.

Arlington, Texas

Intern at the Center for Renewable Energy at the University of Texas at Arlington improving temperature control of a Fischer‐Tropsch reactor using neural network predictive control. Built a plant model in Simulink and used the model to train the system to provide responses 10x faster and within a 4x smaller temperature range than the previous PID control system.

Newark, Nj

Analyzed historical production data (thickness, size, moisture, etc.) for a commercial bakery and adjusted production parameters for over 200 products leading to a 10% increase of "in target" products across all product classes.

Caltech

Studied the charge carrier dynamics of lead halide perovskites using terahertz spectroscopy. Built the optical box that generated the pump, probe, and signal beams to excite the sample, ran initial experiments, and developed Python scripts to visualize results.
