- Coordinate and manage the borrowing and lending operations under the different facilities: BOP, EFSM, MFA, SURE, NGEU - Prepare borrowing and lending strategy proposals, reports to the hierarchy, briefings, press releases - Prepare the terms and conditions of the loans to be signed with the final beneficiaries; coordinate the documentation, negotiation and execution of the corresponding contracts. - Manage the process for obtaining internal and external approval and implementation of the borrowing and lending decisions up to the disbursement process. - Coordinate with other Commission services and external counterparts (like the ECB and the EIB) on matters related to the activities of the Unit. - Support the management by providing on a regular basis and/or under specific request opinions, information and reports on the financial market and the related Commission activities. - Contribute to the implementation of the Guarantee Fund for External Action (including related agreements with the EIB), in particular focussing on analytical aspects, and coordinate with the external counterparts (EIB) and other Commission services involved in the activity. - Manage contacts with counterparts in the financial sector, including preparations and delivering of investor presentations on the borrowing activities.

• Identify areas & processes that need improvement or increased efficiency at bank level;• Assessment of business needs, proposals & resources for top management review and approval;• Act as project manager in sensitive and/or critical projects, coordinating and assembling business lines/involved departments as to asses, develop and implement the needed changes;• Elaborating, submitting and monitoring implementation of business requirements/project specifications; evaluating results and further improvement;• Implementation and monitoring of service levels and the efficiency of support/operational departments/units

• Own overall management responsibility for all underwriting elements of the retail credit business;• Accountable for the retail credit policy (credit bureaus, application scorecard, behavior score, population segmentation, champion challenger strategies; new project proposals such as pre approved pre embossed, co-branded products, cross-sell actions);• Monitor credit scoring model; communicate with scorecard provider for scorecard validation/recalibration;• Monitor the retail credit granting and updating process, guiding and monitoring the underwriting officers in the credit approval process;• Elaborating and updating flows and procedures regarding the retail credit business;• Monitoring and updating the risk policy in terms of market practice and portfolio performance;• Portfolio management; delinquency analysis; identifying trends and triggers;• Market analysis on retail credit in terms of required documentation and product characteristics;• Manage relations with the sales department & network;• Work in close liaison with the Product Manager and Operations Manager to continuously develop and enhance products and improve efficiencies in customer processes;• Measure department performance;• Provide ongoing training to retail credit underwriters.
