I managed several large scale projects related to mobile-to-cloud backup and restore and PIM synchronization.

I took over the Project Management role in addition to the Requirements Management role in order to be able to provide a better response to changes in schedule and scope. A significant achievement during this period was the release into production of a new version of the project, without any major issues, after 1 year of hard work. This role also gave me the possibility to control much better the releases made to the customer and this way the scheduled milestones were never missed.

I switched to a Requirements Manager role from where I was able to interact more closer with the customer, gain a better understanding of the needs of the customer and clarify the requirements of the project. I was able to help improve significantly the understanding of the requirements on the R&D side, which led to good designs and overall less issues found by the customer. During the agile development and sustaining phase, I played the role of Product Owner and managed the product backlog, story prioritization, etc according to the customer's needs.

Nokia aquired Intellisync in 2006 and I continued the device oriented work, focusing on SyncML and chat clients for different mobile platforms. As additional responsibilities I occupied a line manager position which consisted of managing a team of direct reports (setting objectives, reviewing compensation, developing their skills, etc).On the desktop/server side I played the role of technical/project manager for various customization projects based on the Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite product.Starting with 2008, I occupied an engineering management position and the main goal for my team and I was to integrate Nokia's SyncML server with the customer's systems. My goals in this position were to supervise development work, plan resource allocation, identify risks, clarify requirements with the customer and facilitate the professional growth of my team.

At Intellisync I continued the work started at Softvision focusing on mobile device applications (SyncML clients mostly). I worked mainly on J2ME, Palm and Windows Mobile. My responsibilities included technical management, planning, estimating the effort needed for new projects.

During the year at Softvision, I worked on several desktop PIM synchronization projects based on the Intellisync SDK. In addition, I have also worked on several SyncML device clients for various platforms like Palm, Windows Mobile and Brew.

Worked on a server application that was converting email messages into a set of video and audio components that were all linked and synchronized together by a SMIL file. A device client (WinCE based) was retrieving the set of files from the server and the end result consisted in a 3D animated head reading the user's emails on the device.
