I am currently an assistant professor of economics at State University of New York at Oswego. My field of research is international economics with an emphasis on international trade and international agreements in general. Specifically, I am interested in the European integration process and its implications for international trade at both national and firm levels. In addition, I am investigating the effect of international environmental agreements on international trade flows and their carbon/emission content along with other measures of industrial activity (e.g., output or employment). Recently, I started looking into how international labor agreements affect aggregate and sector-level trade flows. I am also active in the field economics education. I enjoy teaching, guiding, and helping students in understanding the secrets of economics. Recently, I have earned the Certificate in Effective College Education from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and the American Council on Education (ACE). As primary instructor, I have taught over 50 sections of various undergraduate courses including principles of micro and macroeconomics, contemporary economics issues, intermediate microeconomic theory, and international trade and finance. I also had the opportunity to oversee undergraduate independent study sessions. Currently I am teaching a section of each principles of microeconomics, intermediate microeconomic theory, and international trade courses for undergraduate students.
