The Services Lead grows, drives and leads the Services function within a Microsoft subsidiary. This includes the development and coordination of local services strategies for the purpose of supporting the company’s overall business objectives in the enterprise space. It also encompasses all functions required in managing a business including customer sales and relationship management, business management, line management and strategic management (analysis, planning, execution) of the business. Responsibilities:- Business Planning - ensure that a detailed market execution plan tuned to company's priorities and market conditions is in place and executed towards the fiscal year - Building Strategic Partnerships – to actively build strong relationships externally with partners and customers, driving both sales and satisfaction levels- Business Management – ensure that the Services business is managed in line with the operational management processes, policies and tools prescribed for Services and the results identified in the business plan are delivered- People Management & Development – ensure that a skills and capacity plan exists to successfully execute on the business plans defined for the business as well as develop strategies for resource specialization and resource sharing in the area.Responsible for 27 FTEs organization, reshaped and fine tuned since taking over.- Organisational Health – create a working environment for our people that is conducive to a positive and healthy organizational climate and supportive of company's values- Fiscal Responsibility (P&L) – deliver on the financials goals for the business in line with the agreed business plan including revenue and contribution margin. - Customer and Partner Satisfaction (CPE) – ensure that Microsoft partner and customer satisfaction is proactively managed and that required levels of satisfaction

I become people manager having a team with four application development consultants and I shortly took over the entire team (12 consultants). As a manager, my efforts were directed towards ensuring the consistency of a team which is customer-oriented, able to deliver results based on customers’ objectives and constantly increasing partners’ and customers’ satisfaction. I partner with my colleagues in building their professional development plan, supporting them in advancing their skills and in making decisions relating to their career path. As a result, two former direct reports advanced to peer positions.Actively involved in contractual negotiation, developing, closing, post-mortem review and IP-gathering.

I was involved in shaping, creating and delivery of major projects, such as:• First data warehouse implementation for MCS Romania over a core-banking solution. The project had two follow-ups and generated and maintained the Premier & T&M maintenance contracts for MCS.• Middleware solution implementation for a bank. Design and architect the solution.

I was hired in 2003 as a first Microsoft Consultant for applications development. In this role, I contributed in delivering national and worldwide recognized projects, such as:• Visa Online project – in production since late 2003 the system manages the visa requests received from Romanian consulates• SEN – local implementation of Government Gateway, based on UK Government Gateway specs & design. I have managed the delivery with a team of 10 partner resources.• Middleware implementation for a bank, involved in design review and solution deployment in Serbia & Romania• Participation in MSDN / Technet / various Microsoft events as speaker• Involved in scoping & planning for almost all proposals issued by Microsoft Services

Softwin was the major ISV focused on Microsoft platform, with more than 100 developers & testers. I was involved in the Softwin’s major projects:• Autovia – B2B portal for selling auto parts. On-site support at customer’s HQ in Sacramento.• Convicts Management System – management system designed for prisons. Biggest SQL replication system implemented in Romania at the time • Gateway Solution Offering implementation together with Microsoft Romania. The system was the Winner of the World Summit for Information Society (WSIS), e-Government category in Genève, Switzerland in 2003

Programmer developed web-based and desktop applications for:• Developer of the measurement programming for car bodies for Daewoo – moving them from manual measurement to a fully automated one. • Developer of various systems used in production in plants in Russia. On-site support and developing.
