As the product owner and sole developer, I am leading the creation of an educational game, built with C# in the Unity Game Engine, designed to teach underprivileged children and seniors about online dangers like scams, viruses, and digital safety. I oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial design and user experience to deployment, while collaborating with a designer to establish the app’s aesthetics, color palette, and game assets. Following an Agile-like iterative approach, I meet regularly with the client to demo builds, gather feedback, and implement new requirements. As a Mobile App Developer Intern at Cogent Integrated Business Solutions, I contributed to both the enhancement of a social media-style app and the foundational development of an educational app in its early stages. My primary responsibilities included implementing UI fixes in the Dart/Flutter code for the social media app, optimizing button placements, layouts, and typography to create a seamless, user-friendly experience. As the sole developer and designer of Text A Reminder, I created an iOS app tailored to streamline appointment scheduling and reminders for small business professionals. Using Swift, UIKit, and the MVC design pattern, I built the app in Xcode with Firebase as the backend database and integrated CocoaPods for dependency management. Users can schedule appointments and send automated reminders through iMessage with a single tap, and all appointments are stored in the iOS Calendar via the EventKit API for easy access. As a Teacher’s Assistant and Grader for a senior level course of over 100 students, the tasks I was responsible for included grading assignments, providing feedback to students, assisting in course logistics and hosting office hours. The office hours are where I would provide aid and guidance to the students on the homework and lectures the professor would assign. As a teacher’s assistant, I worked closely with the professor to ensure accuracy and efficiency in my grading, and to ensure that timeline-wise, I would be able to balance my own full semester of classes along with the work that came from the TA position. Through this position that I held for my last two semesters of university, I advanced my communication and interpersonal skills, my ability to work independently and along with my supervisor. Along with my strong academic background in the subject area, I was able to learn more about networks on the job, and most importantly, balancing 2 full semesters of assignments and exams with this job greatly enhanced my ability to manage my time, in order to excel on both my academics and my job.
