The domains of both, Software Development and Industrial Engineering, have the same aim : Enhance Customer Experience. However they seldom work together in small to mid-sized companies.For several years now, I have wanted to leverage my years of experience in Industrial Engineering with my long term passion for Programming.Apptimize is the symbiosis of these two domains with the aim to help create cost-effective solutions that will not only enhance customer experience, but also, simplify the processes at the seller's end.

➢ Responsible for increasing production capacity and improving material flow across nine different production lines.➢ Create, update and maintain Line balancing tools, Capacity charts, Headcount forecast models and AutoCAD layouts of all production lines in the plant➢ Work with 9 different core teams to help improve key metrics such as Net Labor Efficiency, Cycle Time, Quality and Yield for every production line➢ Lead core teams in sustaining 5S and conduct weekly 5S Audits to ensure the same.➢ Evaluate Rapid Ergonomic Baseline Assessment of Risk (REBAR) scores of workstations and work on Ergonomic projects aimed at reducing the scores➢ Work with production supervisors and planners to help understand the capacity of each line and identify the bottlenecks in the processes.➢ Responsible for publishing reports used across two plants to help manage core 5 metrics

➢ Responsible for planning and executing Lean Six Sigma projects in the packaging and distribution section of 400,000 sq. ft warehouse employing more than 350 employees and producing about 65 million books annually➢ Headed cross-functional teams and helped create a culture of engaging employees in principles of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing➢ Created a Dynamic Scheduling System using six sigma tools that decreased forecasting error from 94.3% to 25.2%➢ Reduced bottlenecks and improved flow by identifying and reducing non-value added travel time of cartons from over 50% to 0.9% resulting in hard savings of $146,151 per year

Applied the Six Sigma approach to optimize the Clozaril Distribution Process at Buffalo Psychiatric Center. Reduced lead times from over 25 min to 14 min per patient by eliminating non-value added processes. This helped increase the patient capacity of the clinic without increasing staff or other resources.
