Worked with Axis Bank ( Top 3 Private Sector Banks in India ) in the Credit Risk Portfolio Analytics Team where some of my responsibilities included1. Working on monthly dashboards that were circulated at the CXO levels2. Initiating process improvements and implementing automation techniques to reduce the churning of dashboards3.Recommending addition of metrics that would provide deeper insights to the top management on the bank loan portfolioAt a functional level, the role gave me considerable knowledge of using various functions in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and also on handling large data sets ( ~100,000 rows and 60-80 columns ) in excel.Moreover, at a sectoral level, I gained enriching insights into the various methods used for capital computation under Basel norms and their impact on the bank's balance sheets and also learnt about bank specific metrics like RAROC, CAR, Portfolio-At-Risk, RWA, EAD, PD, LGD etc. and how they provide insights into a bank's financial position.

The summer internship was an enriching experience in terms of exposure to corporate finance.
