Solo was founded by Womply's founder after Womply's successful unicorn exit to exclusively focus on the sole proprietors segment. Solo mobile app allows sole proprietors to get paid, pay quickly. This is a rapidly growing segment with a TAM of 51M+ sole entrepreneurs in US. As a key member of the founding executive team at Solo, I played a vital role in the following:• Built and led a high-performing remote engineering and data team of 60+ professionals across 4 countries, enabling us to successfully launch the Solo.co fintech platform and mobile app within an aggressive timeline.• Spearheaded the implementation of payment processing, money movement capabilities, card issuing, and robust risk and fraud mitigation solutions, underpinned by machine learning models. This ensured a secure and seamless financial experience for solo entrepreneurs.• Collaborated closely with business, product, technology, and organizational leaders to align strategies and roadmap for Solo, contributing to its growth and success in serving sole proprietors.• Cultivated an early-stage startup culture within the team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and a growth mindset.

As a key member of the executive team at Womply, I played a pivotal role in the unicorn acquisition of the company and achieved the following milestones:• Recruited and nurtured a global team of over 120 engineers, data scientists, and product managers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance.• Implemented a remote-first strategy and expanded our engineering teams to India and Ukraine, enabling us to work efficiently across multiple time zones.• Collaborated with the CEO to orchestrate a strategic pivot during the pandemic, and led the development of a Fintech and CRM platform. The platform helped 1.5 million independent contractors and small businesses get upwards of $20B in Paycheck Protection Program loans.• Oversaw the platform's scalability to handle a 400/500x increase in normal traffic volume within a short timeframe, ensuring a seamless user experience during a critical period.• Led our teams through an intense 6-month period of all-hands-on-deck platform building and customer support, ensuring the successful implementation of KYC, KYB, ID verification, document scanning, and money movement with machine learning models to detect fraudulent users. • Managed critical vendor relationships, establishing strategic partnerships that supported platform growth and enhanced its capabilities.

Championed and led API Program transformation from monolithic architecture to microservices-based API product lines and self-serve Developer Portal that handles 85% of supply. Incubated a multi-million dollar bottom line business built on Stubhub’s Data platform. Created Enterprise Organization and launched new program and platform that reduced customer friction, increased enterprise partner satisfaction and inventory, and enabled new revenue models.
