Master's Thesis: CFD Analysis of Aerodynamic Separation for sub-micron particles.• Explored the application of aerodynamic separation using sonic nozzles, for the separation and collection of sub-micron and nano-particles.• Simulated the formation of a supersonic under-expanded jet from sonic nozzles and particle trajectories, using OpenFOAM compressible flow coupled with discrete phase Lagrangian solver.• Discovered optimum separation regime based on nozzle geometry and operating conditions.
