Safe Circles (safecircles.lk) was created to make education on topics that matter accessible to all Sri Lankans in Sinhala, Tamil and English. Topics addressed include bodies and boundaries, gender equality, reproductive health, child rights, and disability, with new topics added regularly. Resources include downloadable presentation materials, activity sheets and classroom posters.Our belief is that education can transform Sri Lanka and that by delivering a Safe Circles presentation, anyone can change a life.Duties & Activities:Contribute to the creation process of the presentations; Translations from English to Sinhala;Panelist at the Dr. Sarath Wijemanne Memorial Discussion by the Endometriosis Support & Awareness Foundation (ESAF) Sri Lanka.Coordinations:“My Body, My Choice” presentation to 2 schools (70 children) in Kegalle. March 2024“My Body, My Choice” and “Menstrual Health & Hygiene” to six schools (over 1000 children) in Kandepola, Nuwaraeliya.Sessions done:Importance of age appropriate sexual and reproductive health and rights education to the staff of Department of Probation and Child Care Services, Ministry of Women and child affairs 6th September 2023“My Body, My Choice” and “Child Rights” to 50 children at Chrishanthi Lama Sevana, Colombo 14th October 2023“My Body, My Choice” and “Menstrual Health & Hygiene” to 40 children in Viharamahadevi Child Development Center, Biyagama in collaboration with Department of Probation and Child Care Services, Ministry of Women and Child Affairs 7th November 2023“Menstrual Health & Hygiene” session to three schools (600 children) and local community (50 women) in Hambanthota. November 2023“Menstrual Health & Hygiene” session to 70 girls and women in Kirulapone, Colombo. November 2023“My Body, My Choice” and “Menstrual Health & Hygiene” to 120 children Katunayake and Munnakkare. December 2023
