I enjoyed the challenge of opening Nebraska's only Apple Retail Store in 2006, hiring and training staff, implementing corporate standards, and living the Credo of Apple. During my tenure, I served staff and clients in every leadership role: Operations and scheduling, Visuals, People (hiring and developing), Red Zone (sales), Family Room (client services including education and hardware support/repairs), working closely with regional and corporate partners to meet Apple's visionary standards. I am proud of my store's successes, including our sales revenue being triple that of our opening accomplishment, multiple product launches, regularly exceeding sales goals, and leading the market in customer satisfaction. I love working alongside Apple's creative, intelligent, and dedicated team members from so many different backgrounds, and especially take pride in helping develop individual employee skills and seeing each of them reach full potential.

After relocating to Omaha for family reasons, I again had the opportunity to help open a first in Nebraska--Fleming's Prime Steakhouse. While I had spent most of my post-college years working in retail, I literally grew up around the restaurant business, having worked in every role in several restaurants since the age of 16. Establishing the private dining rooms at Fleming's involved both business savvy and my palate. Building relationships with vendors, event coordinators, pharmaceutical representatives, individual clients, as well as staff and creative consultants was gratifying. It was especially interesting to work closely with Omaha-area businesses including Borsheim's/Berkshire Hathaway, West Corporation, First Data, and Omaha Steaks to meet their corporate dining needs. My time at Fleming's was also wonderful because I had the opportunity to develop specialized menus and to pair fabulous wines with elegant food!

Having flipped homes in the past as a hobby, I was interested in the legal and business aspects of the residential market. Therefore, I went to school to get my real estate license and became I became a Realtor in 2003. I worked through CBS Home brokerage on both new construction and existing home sales.

Over my decade with Gap, I served the company in numerous roles, including Store Leader (Madison, WI). My work culminated in having the opportunity to develop and train new employees nationwide as a Store Opener. Over two years in this role, I successfully opened over thirty Gap Retail Stores, training and interacting with over 3000 Gap employees, traveling from Bozeman, Montana to Atlanta, Georgia. I was known by my Gap colleagues for having helped successfully develop and implement a protocol for store opening that allowed Gap to open over 250 stores in a two-year period.
