I am a Product Manager for the Cameras Department (previously computer peripherals). My role encompasses all aspects of Retail Product and Inventory Management.Recent key achievements:- I met all of my targets and KPIs set for 2017, which included market share, sales, profit margin and inventory turnover targets. Sales grew nearly 40% and inventory turn decreased by 19 days for Q1-Q3 – the latter was a significantly larger decrease than the target that was set.- I increased our overall Cameras market share by 7 percentage points, which exceeded the targets. I identified weaknesses and created a business strategy for the development of the DSLR camera offering, which was endorsed by the Managing Director.- I reached a very challenging goal of clearing the entire inventory of old products that were left in stock when I took over Cameras in early 2017. I met the target in an impressive timeframe of just 12 months.My ongoing responsibilities:- I am responsible for inventory management in my product segments. I also develop and execute short and long-term procurement strategies. I analyze market trends, review sales histories and create monthly demand plans.- I manage the supplier identification, selection and negotiation process. I lead all aspects of supplier negotiations, including contract terms, pricing and performance management.- I identify and source new products and product lines, which meet local market demands and quality criteria. I occasionally visit international sourcing fairs in China.- I am regarded as a Senior product expert in my product lines. I liaise with Customer Service and equipment manufacturers, providing specialist advice to customer queries. - I sell and conduct negotiations regarding store display and retail space, as well as catalogue and online advertising space with suppliers.- I ensure that the E-Commerce store has accurate information about Camera products and promotions, and is optimized according to SEO best practices.
