Currently I am running the family-owned company e-mittaus.e-mittaus measures real estate. We deliver accurate as-built drawings of individual buildings or parts of them. We serve private customers, construction companies, real estate developers, and real estate brokers. Our private customers are usually in the process of selling their property, and they want to know the correct floor area, measured according to official standards. Real estate developers and construction companies often lack reliable drawings of the existing site when they start to plan renovations. And when the renovation is about to complete, they want to compare the actual outcome to the blueprints. We do all this for them.We do all projects with laser scanners, even floor area measurements of small apartments. I think we are the first ones in Finland to measure apartment sizes by laser scanning. In civil engineering laser scanning is more commonly used, and gaining ground rapidly. Many architects and engineers like the possibility to jump inside a 3d-model to check details rather than visiting a messy and cold site far away. We do the visiting and capture the reality for our clients to work on.I am running the company with the help of two part-time assistants. Our aim is to expand continuously in this specialized market. We have received excellent customer feedback and we want to keep it that way.
