When I was growing up I had a dream: I wanted to become a doctor like my father. I even decided which medical school I wanted to attend to. Then, fresh out of upper secondary school, 19 years of age, I went on a holiday to Thailand with my mates. So yeah, anyway, I’m not a doctor. That trip changed the course of my life and a few years later I returned to pursue a career in scuba diving and I spend most of my twenties teaching and guiding divers to some truly spectacular destinations in Southeast Asia. Now at 38-yeas-old, my professional diving days are behind me. After working in the construction industry here in Finland for a few years, it was time to do something completely different and I enrolled on a course in Business College Helsinki to learn web development. I love the challenge of coding and find many parallels between the process of physically building things and the art of creating digital applications.Currently I am building backend services and learning everything and anything I can about data migrations, azure and Rust here at Triona Oy.
