Ensuring compliance with Utah's agricultural laws and code through on site inspection and verification. Facilitating export and import of agricultural commodities through inspection and phytosanitary certification. Administering FDA and USDA programs such as the National Organic Program, and BSE and GAP inspections.

Care for juvenile turkeys 1 day old to mature, clean turkey barns, convert barns from grow-out barns to brooders, operate tractors and feed trucks, performe routine maintainence on feed trucks, tractors, feed and watering equipment, performe all routine farm chores, care for entire farm of 100,000 baby turkeys.

Operate tractors, front end loader, backhoe, windrower, atv's. Perform all tasks related to alfalfa production including disking, cultipacking, land planing, rock picking, plowing, planting hay, cutting hay, raking, hauling ton bales, stacking ton bales and two-string small bales. Maintain and operate irrigation systems including wheel lines, cement ditches with furrows, dirt ditches with furrows, hand lines. Carry out mechanic work and maintenance on farm equipment such as oil changes, fuel filter replacement, welding needs, hydraulic system maintenance, etc. etc.

Worked with Fishlake National Forest botanist Dave Tait to collect data on long term range monitoring plots using radial belts, nested frequency frames, photo plot, ocular ground cover estimates, photo plots, shrub canopy intersect. Used previous knowledge as well as books and online databases to identify plants and record data. Established new long term range monitoring plots based on grazing allotments. Used handheld GPS unit to navigate to plots. Used GIS based maps to find plots and find areas to make new plots. Used Forest Service database to enter data into computer.
