GESAB is an energy equipment manufacturer and operates within the marine industry. The product portfolio consists of systems for heating (steam, thermal oil etc) and exhaust gas aftertreatment systems (SCR). As a design engineer my main responsibilities entails product and calculation tool development. My role also serves as a support function during projects and towards customers. My work has resulted in standardized equipment designs which has led to substantial time savings for the design team (up to 80%). Further more, I am familiar with international standards, such as EN 13445 or ASME BPVC, and the respective standards from ship classification organizations (DNV-GL, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's register, CCS and more).Experience: computer aided engineering (CAD), energy equipment design (heaters, SCR reactors, pressure vessels), product development, technical support, marine and pressure vessel standards.
  • Gkn Aerospace
    Master Thesis
    Gkn Aerospace Aug 2019 - Jun 2020
    Trollhättan, Vastra Gotaland County, Sweden
My master thesis was carried out at GKN Aerospace, a supplier to the leading aircraft and engine manufacturers. Additionally, it was a joint collaboration with a team from the National Research Council (NRC). The thesis focused in the design of a propulsor using the concept of boundary layer ingestion. This particular system, in conjunction with boundary layer ingestion, is a promising technology for reducing fuel burn and thus improving the aircraft efficiency. The main objective was to deliver a suitable model of the propulsor to the NRC team for testing and verification. Modelling of the propulsor was multi-disciplinary and included fan design, computational fluid dynamics, manufacturing requirements and test rig integration requirements. Part of the work was later included in a ISABE conference paper.Experience: propulsion systems, fan design, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), boundary layer ingestion (BLI), efficiency improvements.
  • Chalmers University Of Technology
    Project Assistant
Chalmers University Of Technology Jul 2019 - Aug 2019
    Gothenburg, Vastra Gotaland County, Sweden
One month opportunity to work within the ENABLE-H2 project at Chalmers as a project assistant. The focus was primarily in the general design of the new compressor test rig (intended for aero-thermal measurement methods).
  • Wärtsilä
    Bachelor Thesis
    Wärtsilä Nov 2012 - Mar 2013
    Gothenburg, Vastra Gotaland County, Sweden
My bachelor thesis was conducated at Wärtsilä and gave me a good introduction of the marine industry. The thesis adressed the design of a waste heat recovery system suitable for bulk carriers or tankers up to 150000 dwt. In particular, the system was constituted of a screw turbine, organic rankine cycle (ORC) unit, economizer and a heat exchanger. A number of cases (marine engine type, fuel types, system configurations etc) were studied and evaluated from an economical perspective.Experience: marine engines, marine industry, waste heat recovery.
