Mikael is a professional dancer from Sicily, Italy. He began his training at the early age of 4 years old, until the age of 11 where he was accepted to attend the prestigious Academia Nazionale di Danza of Trapani, Italy, affiliated with the Accademia Nazionale di Danza of Rome. At 14 years old, Mikael moved to Rome to attend the Liceo Coreutico at Convitto Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele II, as a full-time dance student. In Italy, he furthered his training in more contemporary and commercial styles under world-renowned teachers like Bill Goodson, Garrison Rochelle, and Kledi Kadiu. During his attendance in World Dance Movement, Mikael earned the attention of Igal Perry, world-renowned choreographer, ballet master, and dance educator who provided him a Full Tuition Scholarship to attend the 2-Year Certificate Program at Peridance Center in New York, NY. Mikael graduated with high regard with a Certificate of Excellence and Honors for his work and diligence in the arts while attending the program. Mikael has performed on stage, film, television and in commercials. As a concert dancer and triple threat, Mikael has regularly performed in the United States for major events internationally known such as TDF Gala Broadway Awards and New York Fashion Week for the clothing brand Studio 189. His television and films credits include “Wonderama”, “Amici”, “House Party” and “Un uomo e una voce”. Mikael’s commercial dance expertise brought him to dance with both popular and emerging music artists like internationally successful singers, Gad Elbaz on his L’Chaim World Tour at the Kings Theater in Brooklyn, NY, and Laura Pausini. Mikael can be seen in several music videos for artists like Mordechai Shapiro “Ashira” with more than 1.7 Millions of views, Simcha Leiner “Shuvi” and Brandon Jerrod’s “Overtime”, which won Best Music Video at the Hudson International Film Festival NYC. Mikael has also performed in world renowned performance venues such as the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York, NY with Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, and Sony Music Hall with choreography by Miles Keeney. In Italy Mikael caught the eye of Award-winning choreographer, Kristian Cellini, who invited him to perform alongside Carla Fracci, critically acclaimed prima ballerina.Mikael has performed works by Internationally Renowned Choreographers such as Robert Battle, Jessica Lang, Johannes Wieland, Mike Tyus, Larry Keigwin and Julie Magneville among others. Ultimately, Mikael in the United States during the XYZ NYC Art Show Mikael received the OZ Award as Best Performer.
