Master Thesis At Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration)
This master thesis is an evaluation of the working methods used in the construction project of Norrortsleden (Norrortsleden is a transverse route connecting E4 with E18 north of Stockholm). The project had made use of a performance-based construction and maintenance contract and the thesis highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of this contract type. This was done from three different aspects: organizational, financial and quality. To achieve this, interviews at the Swedish Transport Administration and at the contractor, economic analysis and a questionnaire were conducted. Apart from highlighting the contract type's strengths and weaknesses, the thesis identified which types of projects are suitable for performance based contracts.
Production Technician
During the summer I worked as a Production Technician at Scania Engine production plant in Södertälje, Sweden. The work included exploratory work, establishing needed product and process specifications, meetings with suppliers and purchase of equipment.
