My background is in High Performance Sports with 15 years as a world-class athlete and four-time Olympian (javelin, track & field).After my sporting career, I’ve worked with Event Management and Team Service at European Championships in athletics in both Finland and Sweden. These roles required strong organizational and planning skills to ensure seamless coordination and successful execution of the events. My work in the Finnish Olympic Committee Games Operations Team included Competition and Project Management, Olympic Team Finland branding, as well as Olympic Team Clothing. I spent a bit over 2.5 years as Acting Director at the Vaasa Region Sports Academy, where I worked mainly with developing dual career possibilities and high-performance support for athletes. The past 3.5 years I worked with HR, marketing, and development of the Eezy United concept "By Athletes For Athletes," which offers recruitment and staffing services for athletes and coaches both during and after their athletic careers. Starting in the fall of 2021, I’m also a master’s degree student at Åbo Akademi, majoring in "Leadership, Strategy & Organization" with a minor in Sport Psychology. My studies complement my practical experience by deepening my understanding of strategic planning, organizational behavior, and leadership.
