Aster is clinic enablement software that focuses primarily on Women's Health such as OB/GYNs, Birth Centers and Midwifery Practices. Aster's main focus in reducing the burden of administration for providers whilst simultaneously improving clinical outcomes through enhanced patient engagement practices. There are three evidence based solutions contributing to improving maternal health outcomes within Aster. We offer greater access to care through advanced telehealth provisions and communication between patient and their provider, remote patient monitoring including blood pressure, urine testing and glucose monitoring at home to prevent and detect complications earlier. Additionally Aster’s provider platform supports community based practices and collaborative care models known to reduce interventions. The company was founded in Summer 2023, has raised a $2.4m pre-seed round, and is currently live in several dozen private practices in the following States; California, Texas, New York, Alabama, Ohio and Virginia.

I developed a qualitative research project under the supervision of Dr. Arash Anoshiravani that examined the health concerns of incarcerated adolescent girls through semi-structured interviews.Responsibilities: Created interview protocol, consent/assent documents, and recruitment letter. Conducted semi-structured interviews with female juvenile detainees, ages 13-18. Analyzed data utilizing qualitative research methodology (analytic memos, coding, matrices). Presented findings through poster presentation at the 2012 Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine Conference.
