Under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Bishop, I was able to perform research within the assay development department at Cygnus Technologies. In this role, I learned valuable research and laboratory based skills, testing customer samples and qualifying and releasing general and custom HCP ELISA assays. During this internship, I developed and presented a final synopsis of the program that included information on some projects I was involved in the development of. I was able to present this synopsis to representatives from different departments across Cygnus Technologies and Maravai Life Sciences.

Children's Emotions Lab: focuses on children's socio-emotional development. The lab collects data for two projects: one has families participate completely remotely and one includes family laboratory visits. Analyzing existing data from two longitudinal studies with children between the ages of 2 and 9, following them from toddlerhood through middle childhood. 🧸 Analyzed and coded visit videos🧸 Synthesized articles, analyzed data, and created a poster focusing on the effects of maternal age on maternal sensitivity🧸Assisted in the research of the Mothers and Children’s Emotions study to observe and score behaviors during mother child interactions🧸Collected, sorted, analyzed and reported data to draw conclusions in support of the research
