People are what I truly enjoy in my work. I started my career working in customer service in retail environments, teaching undergraduate students and building relationships with donors & volunteers at non-profit organizations. I combine my passion for people with my dual concentration in Human Resources and International Business from SFU in my current role at Microserve. As the Program Manager, People & Culture, I lead the key programs focused on employee wellness & engagement, corporate grants and corporate social responsibility strategy. I build on my previous experience as a Programs Advisor, leading and growing the co-op program at Microserve totalling to over 300 students to date and my roles as an HR Advisor and People & Culture Advisor where I supported the People & Culture team in recruitment, performance management and occupational health & safety for a portfolio of leaders. My main focuses as a Program Manager include organizing company-wide wellness and engagement activities for our employees, doing community outreach and planning company-wide corporate social responsibility initiatives such as fundraisers, blood drives and volunteering within the communities Microservians live and work in. In alignment with Microserve's overall strategy and vision, I also drive projects forward on key areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, ESG, and employee engagement. I utilize my education and experience not only in my work but in my community. I am passionate about creating impact in my community, especially in diversity, equity and inclusion. Currently, I am the vice chairperson for the Richmond Intercultural Advisory Committee, supporting the City of Richmond by advising on issues surrounding intercultural harmony and success within the community.
