I was part of the firm’s litigation team, representing private equity related clients, and their portfolio companies, within various industries, in commercial disputes before courts and arbitrational tribunals. I also regularly represented clients before administrative courts, especially in cases of commercial nature, regarding matters such as money laundering sanction charges, claims for repayment of different kinds of government support, permissions, etc.

After having started off working broadly within various areas of domestic and international corporate taxation, I soon shifted focus towards tax disputes and joined the firm's tax disputes group. As such, I was given the opportunity to be part of a team working on some of Sweden's largest tax cases, concerning various matters including issues relating to direct as well as indirect taxation.

Although the position as reporting clerk had many similarities to the previous clerkship, it came with a greater level of autonomy and responsibility. Under this time, I drew up draft rulings in some of the department's more challenging tax cases, including questions relating to transfer pricing on financial services, valuation of stock option programs, VAT etc.

During my clerkship I have served within the general department, the migration department and lastly the tax department. Regardless of department the clerkship basically involved drawing up draft rulings and report before a panel of lay judges. Alongside providing knowledge in substantive law relevant to each department, the clerkship provided a thorough understanding of administrative law in general and administrative judicial procedure in particular.
