Co-Founder & CEO of Distiller. Distiller was created to bridge the gap between the booming spirits industry and the new generation of emerging appreciators of fine spirits and craft culture. Mikael began his career in the entertainment industry, working with musical artists and filmmakers, managing digital marketing campaigns and strategy. As a growing appreciator of whiskey and craft spirits he recognized a need for technological innovation in the spirits industry and set to work on Distiller with co-founder Brent Stiefel with the goal of democratizing knowledge of spirits, lowering the barrier to entry into spirits appreciation, and facilitating ease of discovery.

Some of us know more than others, but we're united in a shared appreciation for whiskey, it's history and range. It's easy for us to find the opinions of what others have enjoyed, but we realized a gap in any resource to to pin down what we might enjoy next.We wanted a tool that could help guide us towards new things to try, but the tool didn't exist, so we decided to build it ourselves.
