Rewriting the Supplier Portal using ASP.NET MVC 4.

I have been given the opportunity to tech lead a full rewriting of an existing web based system.The chosen architecture is CQRS with Event Sourcing using EventStore and NServiceBus. This project will not only benefit from the many values CQRS brings, but is also enjoying SpecFlow driven Web UI testing using Selenium. All tests are continuously run and we also benefit from continuous deployments. Technologies used: ASP.NET MVC 4, C# 4, NServiceBus, CQRS, EventStore, KnockoutJs, Selenium, SpecFlow.

What started out as a mentoring position grew to a architectural rewriting of a Production Capacity Management System. My main objective was to mentor a team of three developers to make better use of the ASP.NET MVC framework. However, I eventually learned that the systems architecture was making it hard to write testable code and it was suffering from performance issues in some areas.That and other factors led me to suggest CQRS as the replacement architecture. I set up CQRS with Event Sourcing using EventStore and NServiceBus. I led some education sessions on the pattern with the existing team and the new team members. Scrum Master and System Designer for one of the largest and most complicated Enterprise Search projects in Scandinavia. Technical mentoring of a group of developers. Performed class room training in C# 2.0 and C# 3.0. Also performed some architectural mentoring with one of the client's architects. All aimed to prepare the client before migrating from .NET 1.1 to 3.5.
