Eight Month Part-Time Leaders Fellowship ​Eight months of intensive training is only part of what this Fellowship is about! The networking and connections that come along with it will not only open new doors for you but create a support system that continues long after the Fellowship has ended. The Leading For Change Leaders Fellowship is designed to bring together a diverse group of emerged and emerging organizational leaders, community organizers, activists, future candidates and elected officials. These are individuals who have high-potential and the commitment to create positive change in their communities. This Fellowship takes what you know and have experienced, and provides the environment for you to reflect critically and discover new ways to effectively lead and influence positive community change.

The Committee on Government Operations is responsible for, but not limited to, legislation concerning the oversight of USG operations, and revisions of the ASASU USG Constitution, USG Bylaws, Senate Rules of Order, and Standing Rules of ASU West Valley.

The Undergraduate Student Government West Valley (USGWV) represents students at the campus and university levels and is the liaison between students and university administration. USG advocates for college affordability, registers students to vote, and insures that students have a voice in campus and university decisions. USG also provides club funding for organizations across campus through Senate Appropriations.The Undergraduate Student Government at ASU's West Valley Campus Senate is the Legislative branch of government. The senate addresses issues which pertain to any aspect of the university and beyond. Legislation is discussed at bi-weekly senate meetings which alternate with bi-weekly committee meetings.

The mission of the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is to provide insight and feedback on issues relating to youth, including city ordinances, long-range planning, and city-school district relations. The board seeks to enable youth to participate in improving the quality of life in the community. The YAB strives to enhance the quality of life of the youth in Peoria by working with local non-profits, putting together youth inspired events, and finding new youth-centered opportunities to help the youth grow in all aspects of their lives. We envision a world where teens across the City live in peace, with equal opportunities, and receive assistance as they need it.

As the Director of Youth Engagement, my top priority is education. I believe that it is crucial for young people to be informed and involved in local government. To achieve this goal, I have several exciting initiatives planned.First, I will be organizing the LD28 Youth Engagement Summit, which will educate young people on the top issues facing Arizona and provide them with direct action items that they can participate in. I will also recruit and oversee a group of young volunteers who will be active members of LD28 Dems.Additionally, I will provide youth representation and voice in an upcoming educational panel event. I believe it's essential to have young people represented in these types of discussions to provide a fresh perspective on education issues.Lastly, I will be working on a virtual phone bank for youth who are not on the Arizona Early Voting List (AEVL). This initiative will ensure that all young people have a voice in local elections.

Civic Engagement Beyond Voting’s Youth Steering Committee (CEBV-Y) is a nonpartisan group of young Arizonans working to empower young people across the state to exercise their political voices at the state and local levels. CEBV-Y advocates for municipalities, school boards, and the state legislature to enact policies which reflect the needs of young Arizonans. As Peoria USD Regional Coordinator I have recruited community members to be active within the Peoria USD in order to prevent attacks on Public School, but also to promote student engagement and positive policies.

Make hundreds of State Committee calls in order to inform Arizona State Committee Members of upcoming meetings and votes. Provided in-depth opposition research for the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee for all Republican representatives in target LD's.

I was an organizer for Judy Schwiebert and Jeanne Casteen, two candidates who ran for the state legislature in LD2. I garnered a strong volunteer base, gained skills in the Voter Activation Network, and talked with thousands of voters in the State of Arizona, in order to flip the legislature. I knocked on over 6,000 doors and made over 7,000 voter calls over the span of 7 months. Leading and organizing over 50 canvasses and 40 phone banks, while garnering a broad understanding of the political demographics of LD2 in Arizona.
