For the past ten years, I’ve run marathons (25 of them). Actually not just marathons, ultramarathons, which are races longer than 26.2 miles because let's be honest, marathons weren’t quite long enough.While running every race, I thought about quitting approximately 1000 times per minute, mostly after 5 hours or more of running. But despite the constant pain, unrelenting heat, shoe-sucking mud, pregnancy, and the knowledge that I was most certainly dying, I kept going. You see, I don’t think easy things are all that fulfilling—it’s when you test yourself that you do the things you’re really proud of. Now, I put that grit and perseverance to work in my design and photography.
