Shockwave was the largest game brand on the internet and was complemented by AddictingGames which was the fastest growing casual games website.AtomFilms provided the first online video platform for many notable directors including Oscar winners Jason Reitman, Aardman Animation, and David Lynch. It was also the first to work with a major intellectual property rights owner to allow derivative works by the general public when AtomFilms created a partnership with George Lucas and LucasFilm for The Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards in November 2000.Investors included Macromedia/Adobe, Warner Bros, Arts Alliance and Sequoia Capital (Michael Moritz) who was the largest investor.Company was acquired by Viacom (Paramount) for $200m.
