Responsible for designing company's global marketing strategy together with colleagues and partners in 40 countries worldwide.IT WAS ALL ABOUT MOBILE ROBOTICS (1992 - 2010): Researcher, senior research scientist, lecturer, and adjunct professor(docent) at Helsinki University of Technology's (now Aalto University) Automation Technology Lab led by Professor Aarne Halme. My doctoral research concerned multi-robot systems and interaction-based intelligence. My published research spans several areas, including control architectures, agent technologies, genetic algorithms, biologically inspired systems, underwater, space and forestry robotics and multi-robot systems in dynamic environments. I worked at Finnish Centre of Excellence in Generic Intelligent Machines Research (CoE-GIM) (Academy of Finland) as one of the Research Package leaders. In an EU funded Integrated Project "Developing Arctic Modeling and Observation Capabilities for Long-term Environment Studies" (DAMOCLES) I was one of the Task Leaders as we were developing a positioning and navigation module for various underwater robots moving under the Arctic ice. I was the researcher in charge for "Simultaneous Localization and Mapping in Distributed Multi-Robot Systems" project (Academy of Finland). Earlier, I was responsible for gathering and managing a consortium (9 partners) for EU project "Autonomous Underwater Multi-Probe System for Coastal Area/Shallow Water Monitoring" (SWARM) in the field of underwater robotics.
