Produce 4 newsletters a year by collecting archival data and compiling organizational information to create a comprehensive, timely document and update the Commission’s website using Wordpress.

Developed 2 new introduction to journalism courses using Blackboard LMS, including the creation of assessments like a practical project encouraging students to write for the student newspaper. Co-taught a research methods course on how to conduct human-based research effectively and ethically.

Completed a 200+ page dissertation project on how sexual violence prevention organizations can use social media to communicate with their target audience (i.e., survivors) inclusively by interviewing 22 representatives from 24 US-based sexual violence nonprofits. Published academic articles and book chapters on a range of social justice topics, and attended over 15 professional national conferences to exhibit personal and co-authored research.

Managed 4 virtual classrooms through Penn State’s World Campus using Canvas LMS on topics including grammar for journalists, introduction to media studies, and introduction to cinema.
