CurrentMikayla is a partner at Kellogg & Van Aken LLP and focuses her practice on sexual abuse and sexual assault matters and personal injury litigation. Mikayla represents both adult and minor survivors of sexual abuse and assault in cases involving misconduct by doctors, teachers, coaches, counselors, clergy members, massage therapists, rideshare drivers, and other individuals in positions of authority. She has worked on highly publicized cases with multi-million-dollar exposure as well as cases in tandem with criminal investigations. Mikayla recently served as lead plaintiff’s liaison counsel in a case involving over 80 survivors, most of whom identified as LGBTQIA+, who alleged they were sexually assaulted by a university physician at their student health center. Mikayla also represents individuals who have been injured because of another’s carelessness. She has experience obtaining excellent results for clients who have suffered serious personal injuries in car accidents, bike accidents, truck accidents, product liability matters, medical malpractice, and slip and falls due to the negligence or intentional conduct of another. Mikayla has extensive experience litigating the tough, complex, and contentious cases. She uses problem-solving skills, thoughtful strategy, and an ability to see the big picture to every case she handles. She cares deeply about her clients and is passionate about ensuring abusers, institutions, and individuals are held accountable for the harm they have caused others.
