I’m excited to spend my semester learning from the AG&Co team!

This summer, I interned at Caolo & Bieniek to further my design knowledge and skills. Working alongside architects and the lead interior designer, I was involved in all phases of the design process. This commercial design firm specializes in public sector design such as schools, libraries, and government buildings.

During my time here at Point One, I was able to assist in both residential and commercial projects using my skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite. I helped the team with finish selections, mood boards and presentations, Revit elevations and floorplans, as well as material library organization and resource updating. I visited job sites where I could learn how to measure and sketch existing floorplans and interact with clients. I also got to participate in lunch and learns, schematic design presentations, and team meetings.

This past summer, I interned at CMC Shades and Specialties. I would assist in both commercial and residential design projects and learn everything there is to know about window treatments and acoustical paneling. I had the pleasure of going to job sites for measuring and consultations, as well as getting to speak to and meet with fabric reps and design professionals.

I would assist at indoor and outdoor painting events, teach classes, and host birthday parties. I was also given the opportunity to paint ceramic, wooden cutout, ornament, and canvas painting samples.
