Serve as UNIX systems administrator with duties including but not limited to server configuration to support GCCS-J suite of systems, ensuring application software is updated as necessary to uphold the Security policy, and troubleshoot all GCCS-J systems, applications and communication malfunctions until resolved.Perform System Security Reviews for all assigned servers, operating system cluster patch updates, GCCS segment installations and upgrades, data/media backups and database archive operations.Verify and review key files and operations to verify only valid processes run, reallocate resources as they become available, and recommend additional components to optimize overall performance.Manage the installation and evaluation of software and hardware, system fixes, updates, and enhancements that include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) applications.Maintain server integrity and availability by resolving installation problems, identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities as needed.Oversee management of accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.Assist the planning, programming, development, and execution of classroom instruction for GCCS-J, that include but are not limited to the validation and updates to training plans in order to facilitate enhanced training and improved technical and tactical skills of JTF system operations for practical application.

Provide GCCS/Agile Client/JC2CUI/C2PC/JRE/CDS technical support to install, monitor, maintain, upgrade, analyze, troubleshoot, repair and restore computer and information systems to an operational status, to include servers and desktop computers with UNIX (Solaris 10), Red Hat Enterprise Unix (RHEL 5.7), Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, and Windows XP/ 7 platforms.

● Primary system administrator for Global Command and Control System Joint (GCCS-J) at the Headquarters U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in Tampa, Florida and at forward operating locations. ● Provide GCCS/Agile Client/JC2CUI/C2PC/JRE/CDS technical support to install, monitor, maintain, upgrade, analyze, troubleshoot, repair and restore computer and information systems to an operational status, to include servers and desktop computers with UNIX (Solaris 10), Red Hat Enterprise Unix (RHEL 5.7), Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, and Windows XP/ 7 platforms. ● Evaluate hardware and software requirements and capabilities, develop and implement testing plans, and create engineering solutions for systems integration. Assist in the preparation and review of standard operating procedures. ● Specialize in the development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of GCCS-specific Windows system baseline installations. Prepare project status reports and briefings for contract and customer leadership. Provide remote administration to clients within the USCENTCOM GCCS footprint. ● Able to respond to Automated Help Desk Remedy tickets and document the actions taken to resolve the problems identified and return the user's system back to the service standards.

● Provide technical and engineering services for a variety of Joint Deployable Intelligence Support Systems (JDISS) baselines and mission applications. Support included the maintenance of 30 UNIX servers while ensuring updated antivirus definitions, system patches, and security.● Primary systems administrator for Global Command Control System Joint (GCCS-J) and Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (I3) servers in support of CENTCOM J2 Systems Branch. Commercial off the Shelf/Government off the Shelf (COTS/GOTS) software integration, implementation of the Defense Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment (DII COE) and Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DoDIIS) standards, system installation, configuration and testing.● Perform routine backups of Sybase databases.● Investigate and install various software tools ensuring integration with existing systems, including document reviews and testing system manuals tailored for Central Command (CENTCOM) networks.● Utilize VMware ESXi 5.0 to create virtual hosts within multiple data stores, while making sure hosts are updated with current approved Patches.● Using the GCCS-J Teleclient solution, provide GCCS-J/I3 access to users in remote deployed areas. ● Monitor Sybase transaction activity and ensured database size was maintained at optimal performance levels.
