Software Developer with 24 years experience overall and 13 years experience developing mobile software for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android, as of April 2022.iOS and mobile software in general excite me because it's an opportunity to create software users can create a personal connection to. It's a field where good UI design and human factors cannot be ignored, and where paying mindful attention to these aspects can create a really delightful app. Distilling a complex process or workflow into a mobile UI that is easy for a user to understand and use effectively is what drives me. Mobile is an exciting and dynamic segment of software development, and I feel lucky to wake up almost every day to something new and interesting in my field.I love making things that help a user somewhere do their job better, or enjoy their life a little more. I love making things that make people smile the first time they see it, and keep smiling every time they use it.Outside of the workplace, my interests currently include: Virtual Reality, Piloting Airplanes (Private Pilot, Airplane, Single Engine Land), Homebuilding Experimental Aircraft, Travel, Music (currently learning guitar), Cooking, and cordage based art.
