Responsible for monitoring and inspecting the installation, Mechanical completion of all main and auxiliary machinery, equipment and piping associated with the vessels' marine and mission systems and hotel service systems and equipment, to ensure compliance with the contract specification, approved drawings, Class rules and good industry practiceResponsible for the marine and mechanical systems during construction/installation stages of the vessel build including preservation of equipment and systems.Review and verify design, as required, engineering drawings and documents.Review work packages, commissioning procedures, FAT procedures, SAT procedures and mechanical completion documents.Perform on-site inspections of the shipyard work and follow up on quality and progress to ensure that it meets the required specifications and is on schedule.Providing on‐site assistance for the interface between basic and detailed engineering data and the yards’ fabrication engineering.Monitor the installation of main equipment such as cranes, elements of the diving systems and the D.P. system.Over-see all commissioning tests, review and comment on any findings and make recommendations were appropriate.Over-see the sea trials plan and make recommendations for any additional testing above the requirements of the shipyard, Flag state or class as may be required for additional marine assurance verification.Provide input to an integrated FMEA for the vessel as part of the project sea-trials SoW.Make recommendations on any findings from FAT’s/SiT’s/FMEA’s or sea-trials

As DP Marine Engineer I have been involved in the conducting of DP incident investigations, annual DP Trials and FMEA proving trials on behalf of various clients. Part of a specialised team for the development and review of Failure Modes and Effects Analyses for DP vessels and diving systems and for the conducting of IMCA CMID on various vessels.

Identify deficiencies and organise necessary remedial work leading to mechanical completion.Perform pre-commissioning of shipboard systems, including static & dynamic Commissioning Tasks with a view to achieving early and efficient client handover.
