Starting his restaurant career in the Seventies, Chef Mike Andrzejewski has seen a lot of changes in the industry over the years. After working in the best houses in Western New York, Mike and is wife Sherri opened their first restaurant, Tsunami in 2001, an Asian influenced Fine Dining destination to much critical acclaim. However after a serious motorcycle accident, they were forced to close in 2006. Then after a 10 month hiatus, Mike began Seabar, a contemporary and decidedly upscale sushi bar. As opportunity arose, Seabar was relocated and expanded to include a full kitchen, and lounge, in the up and coming Ellicott neighborhood in Downtown Buffalo. In a short time Seabar has become one of the City’s most popular and exciting places to dine, featuring a big influence of global flavors and great atmosphere.When Mike opened Cantina Loco along with partner Kyle Mackewicz in January 2012 it immediately impacted the Allentown dining scene with great bar, delicious cuisine and exciting energy unlike anywhere in Western New York.At Mike A at the Lafayette, the fine dining approach of classical cuisine is further refined with modern culinary technique and a beverage selection unmatched. Chef Mike prepares his menus with respect to the past, but with a contemporay approach and style.Mike’s involvement in many local events, charities and educational activities reinforce a commitment to his Buffalo area roots and home.
