In his most recent role at Unilever, Michael was the Vice-President and General Manager for the highly profitable $2.4 billion Spreads, Dressings, and Beverages business unit--comprised of 2600 co-workers--where he consistently exceeded revenue and profit targets. Much of this success was achieved through innovations whose combined sales exceeded $400MM annually, while leading several restructuring and cost reduction projects that added greatly to the bottom-line. In addition to his role as Vice-President and General Manager, Michael was a member of both the Unilever North America Executive Leadership Team and Supply Chain Council, while serving as the Chairman on several industry boards. Finally Michael performed global assignments during his tenure with Unilever including being a member of several Global Category Boards, and as the leader of Unilever's Low Fat Spreads Innovation Center.In his current role as President of Management and Marketing Solutions, Michael works directly with a multitude of clients primarily in the consumer package goods industry. Among the skill-sets he brings to clients include strategic planning, innovation and new products, brand positioning, brand restages, digital marketing, social media, trade promotion efficiencies, strategic pricing, tying pricing and promotion activities to agricultural commodity purchases, package graphic design and configurations, acquisitions and divestitures, purchasing packaging and ingredients, media planning and buying, SKU optimization, category management, marketing spend ROI, assembling curriculums for workshops, teaching workshops and classes, global buying, S&OP, and sales planning.
